One of my absolute most favorite things is Uncrustables. Since my son cannot eat peanut butter, I don’t let any peanut products come into our home which means I’ve been missing my Uncrustables for awhile. The good news is that you can make them from home using a ‘safe’ butter like Sunbutter.
My son can handle Rudi’s Organic Breads because he can have wheat so that’s a plus. The downside though is that the bread (especially rice bread) doesn’t hold up too well. You may need to toast it first before you make the Uncrustable.
The key to making a good Uncrustable is to put Sunbutter on both pieces of bread. You only have to put the jelly on one side but the Sunbutter on both sides is a must-have situation.
You can use a biscuit cutter or other type of sandwich crust remover to cut your sandwich. This contraption above is from Pampered Chef, I bought it years ago and love it.
So, there you have it. Easy, allergy-friendly Uncrustables. Now go and rock out that lunchbox!
