Let me start off by saying, everyone has different allergies so I know everything on this list will not work for every single person. For our family though, the following items are staples in our house. I know when I first began this allergy-free journey, I just needed someone to point me in the right direction. That is what I hope to accomplish with this list.
Most of the items can be found at your local heath foods store however, I’m going to link them all up to Amazon. Many times, Amazon is cheaper for these products plus, you’re buying in bulk too which helps you from running out in the middle of a recipe.
{10 Essentials for the Allergy-Friendly Kitchen}
SunButter Natural Sunflower Seed Spread
Bob’s Red Mill All Purpose Gluten Free Baking Flour
Xanthan Gum (If you bake gluten-free)
Enjoy Life Foods Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips (In my opinion, all Enjoy Life products are essential. Yep, all of them. )
Eden Applesauce (Or any other brand. Applesauce is a GREAT egg replacer).
Earth Balance Soy Free Butter (Sorry, it wasn’t on Amazon but you can find it at grocery stores).
Tofutti Cheese Products (We use cheese slices and cream cheese).
PhillySwirl Popsicles (Not sure if all products are allergy friendly so read closely).
As always, read the ingredients closely. We also use Van’s Waffles (pictured above) and we recently discovered my son could handle Rudi’s Spelt Bread which is also pictured above. These are the products we use almost daily, I hope this list helps you. Feel free to post the staples in your allergy-friendly kitchen!

This is a very good list to start with. I’ve been eating gluten free since 2007. I love Rudi’s gluten free raisin bread, and Udi’s gluten free breads.

We also use Rice Dream Rice Milk (and their ice cream), Sunbutter, Spectrum, Earth Balance and Enjoy Life products. My new favorite is Cybele Pascal’s cookies….fre of Top 8 and sooooo delicious! We also always have Daiya cheddar style cheeses on hand. We are also liking Ian’s brand fish sticks-a good weekday lunch for the kids.

I haven’t ventured into Daiya yet, time to give it a try!
